Archaeological and Historical Section: further summer outings





The Monikie Rock Art studio of David  McGovern, sculptor of the new Fortingall Pictish stone. (There may possibly be time to visit nearby souterrains, too).

£105 (shared) for town tour with NTS guide. Palace: £10.50 (£7.50)

Cultybraggan, a former WW2 prisoner of war camp near Comrie.

For all outings please wear sensible footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather. Several of these outings could involve rough ground or worn steps or pathways.                                                                                                                                                                            

  • In case catering establishments are not available, bring a packed lunch and drinks for day-time outings. 

  • Remember to bring sunscreen and/or insect repellent if conditions warrant. 

  • All transport will be by private cars sharing petrol expenses or a minibus.
